Lance Stephenson
 

I didn't really watch a lot of him this season but whenever I read about him it always talks about how unathletic he is but as I was looking up some video of him on youtube today and I found these 2 videos:

Those seemed like 2 pretty athletic dunks. Is Stephenson really that bad of an athlete or are there just a lot of "Born Ready" haters?

It's a little bit of both. He's not an amazing athlete by any means but he's not unathletic either. It's just like what happened with OJ Mayo (not saying he's as good as Mayo, btw). People have been hearing about him for so long and everyone becomes a critic. Just let the kid play.

most of the flags against Stephenson is his off the court issues (fights, court cases, etc)...he's an okay player...he has a lot of talent but is a bit selfish...if he works hard he can be a super steal

some of it is haters and over exxposure but even professiional talent scouts would say hes unathletic and selfish and also a bad three point shooter

he's definitely not a gifted athlete but he's above avg. the thing is he's a great ball handler probably the 2nd best ball handler among the sg's, which makes him quick with the ball, but thats the thing he needs the rock in his hands which he might not get the oppurtunity to do so much at the next level

personally i didn't like him either from all the hoopla about him when he couldn't decide on a school and none of the major schools didn't want him etc. but... i started to watch him play for cincy, then i saw another game, in total i've seen him play about 6-7 times and i'm like wow this kid is actually pretty good and came away thoroughly impressed! again he's a great ball handler and he court vision is also very good, i've seen him thread the needle for dunks and layups plenty of times, given the right oppurtunity he might get that chance wit the pacers

He didnt go to the Knicks sadly ...they picked 2 wing players aswell but they werent Lance! I could only imagine how bad he must feel about that but congrats anyways to one of my fav HS ballers since he was 8th grade
