Knicks have sign-and-traded David Lee to Warriors
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/n...ory?id=5362556
"In the event the New York Knicks do not land LeBron James in his made-for-TV announcement on ESPN, they have a sign-and-trade deal in place to send David Lee to the Golden State Warriors for Anthony Randolph and Ronny Turiaf, a source close to the situation confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com. Lee has been courted by a number of teams, the New Jersey Nets among them. But if James picks a destination other than Madison Square Garden on Thursday night, the Knicks are expecting to complete the deal with the Warriors. Of course the exchange could unravel before James reveals his decision, but the Knicks were confident the Lee trade would be part of their Plan B. If their Plan A comes to fruition, and LeBon agrees to sign up, the Knicks will renounce Lee's rights." Personally, I'm a fan of this trade. It seems that Lee is gone so getting back players is definitely better than losing him for nothing. Randolph has a lot of potential and Turiaf is a good rebounder and shot blocker, so I think it would be a good move for the Knicks. |
Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
That's a good Plan B. Although Lee is a very committed player & loyal, I would hate to see him leave.

Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
I was about to post something like this.
I heard rumors that we were going to get Randolph, Turriaf and/or Azuibke for Lee or a separate trade of Ellis for Lee. I would love to get Randolph as he is a stud but it's gonna be a logjam at the forward spot.\ PG: Douglas SG:Chandler/Azuibke SF:Gallo/Randolph PF:Amare/Randolph C:Turriaf We'll need to get a PG. I like Douglas but he shouldn't be a full time starter, or for now at least. Maybe the Monta Ellis trade is a better one and we'd still have around like 8-9mil in cap space I believe. PG:Felton SG:Ellis SF:Gallo PF:Amare C:? 6th-Chandler rest of bench-Douglas, Walker, Rautnis, Barron? Hopefully Lebron signs with us... |
Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
I'm not a fan of Monta. He dominates the ball and I don't think he makes players around him better.

Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
would be like 10-11 now that cap raised and amare deal starting salary is 800,000 less cus of sign and trade with the suns

Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
Here's an idea: sign everyone's contracts to expire at the exact same year as Kevin Durant's... then build from literally zero. HELLS YEAHHHHHHHHh

Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
Still no PG. Please get Ridnour!

NO THANKS. I'd rather get Raymond Felton who I feel is very underrated. He's a really good defender and a pretty good scorer, he also never had the full time PG spot with Brevin Knight and Augustin leaching minutes from him. PG:Felton/Douglas SG:Chandler/Azubike/Walker/Rautnis SF:Gallo/Randolph PF:Amare/Randolph C:Turriaf/Barron And at times this lineup would be a run and gun type of team Felton Chandler Gallo Randolph Turriaf I just don't know what will happen with Randolph if we get him.. Will we have a huge lineup of Felton(or Douglas), Gallo, Randolph, Amare, Turriaf or will we go a bit faster with Felton, Chandler, Gallo, Randolph, Amare :confusedshrug: I'd rather get Monta Ellis to be fair though.. If D'antoni can "tame" him a bit and take out his street ball mentality he can be a great player.. If Lebron doesn't come we'll have no scoring guard, put Douglas at PG who will defend and not really demand the ball. |
David Lee S&T official?
Ive read that the trade is now official, after LeBron James chose Miami.
We send David Lee for Anthony Randolph Kelena Azubuke and Ronny Turiaf. We now have a starting Center in place. PG: x/ Douglas SG: Chandler/Azubuike SF: Gallinari/ Walker PF: Amar'e Stoudamrie/ Turiaf C: Randolph/ Barron We need a PG badly. Maybey we could trade Curry and Chandler to SAS for Tony Parker. Bump Azubuike up to starting SG and have Bill Walker become our back up SG and have one of our 2nd rounders back up Gallo. PG: Parker/Douglas SG: Azubuike/Walker SF: Gallinari/ Rautins PF: Stoudemire/ Turiaf C: Randolph/ Barron I guess that's the ideal team at this point. |
Re: Lee-to-Warriors is NY's Plan B
the GS deal was dumb as hell.We dont get Ellis or Beidrins.
|
Re: David Lee S&T official?
Randolph can not play center unless he bulks up way more. I'd rather have him at the 4 and Amar'e at the 5. Not a fan of that situation in the playoffs tho.

Re: David Lee S&T official?
:wtf: stupid trade.we havea team full of sf's

Biedrins earns 9 mill, Ellis earns 11 mill. I like these three players for 9 mill over Biedrins or Ellis. And we save some money. |
