WNBA players: Andrea Mama Mia Bargnani

Do you think with the addition of Tyson Chandler that Bargs has the opportunity for a breakout season? He can play a true four with a intimidating big man to back him up. Last year he had to f*ck with Bosh and Hedo doing a lot of the things he could be doing himself, now he is free to play his game.

Could be an all star year for him. And if it isn't, might be time to officially anoint him a bust.

To be honest, Chandler has been far from intimidating in recent years...

A. collangelo must love barbosa and diaw (i'm keen on Diaw for fantasy next year if the roster stays as is)

B. SOMEBODY's gonna have to be the best player on that team

C. Calderon to Charlotte is interesting, who's gonna start at the 1 for Toronto. Reggie Evans (Iowa!) in Charlotte is a great fit.

D. It's Sonny Weems time

E. Chandler has definitely been a pretty big bust IMO but it's one of those situations where he might get numbers just based on lack of other option (see: Beasley in Minnesota)

F. Raps are in for a tough season

On one hand, Bargs being the undisputed PF in the team + having a defensive C do make things easier for him.

On the other hand, Bosh quitting and leaving the "franchise player" role to Bargs, will hurt him, because he just lacks the personality to be the man.

Overall I predict an "almost-breakout" season for him. He will improve remarkably, but won't reach the star status.

what were his numbers last season? 17 or so on 47% IIRC?

with bosh gone, his scoring will go up, but his efficiency will go down. nice stroke, but as jasi said he's not a franchise player.

20-21 on 45%, 37%3

Word in Charlotte this morning is that MJ is having 2nd thoughts on the deal. Tdot might just be getting Barbosa for Turkeyglue.

It's just been reported that the deal is dead for now...MJ realized he was getting somewhat bamboozled and backed away from it...which really sucks, as OP said, it'd be really interesting to see Bargs play at his natural 4 position with a traditional C to back him up...oh well, as long as Turk is gone, it's still a good week...

Toronto fans here are pretty upset with MJ. I understand the frustration but hey, I'd rather have MJ back out of a deal before everything is signed than have buyer's remorse for the next few years.

Toronto really needs a banger at center to pair up with Bargs. Bargs isn't a center.. Unfortunately there aren't many of them left..

it is a real shame this deal didn't go through, oh well, looks like MJ is getting the hang of his job finally.
