Cleveland Cavaliers 2010-2011 season

Of course, feel free to make your own threads, but use this space for general thoughts.

Discuss the Cavs as we move forward in the post LeBron James era.

I hope we can move Jamison now or before the deadline.

P.S. - I'm watching the Atlanta @ Cincinnati game. What a great freaking game. Votto ties it 4-4 in the 8th with a solo homer. First pitch against a pitcher that has batters hitting .170 against him. Then Scottie Rolen tags up on second and hustles to third on really shallow sack fly and goes in on a half-way Pete Rose suicide-slide into third.

Fuckin' awesome.

Cavs New Uniform = Best Uniform in the NBA.

Very, very pleased with the Cavaliers, and how they were able to come out fighting, when a lot of people thought that game 1 would be the start of a long, miserable season.

I'm already hearing the excuses that Boston was in the second game of a back-to-back/they were tired, etc. I doubt it, considering it was game 2. We beat them fair and square.

Byron Scott seemed to have a good feel for the personel and matchups.

Sources say Cleveland, in general, is telling teams that it's willing to take on long-term salary in a trade -- something you don't hear often these days, with so much fear about the next labor agreement and how restrictive it could be -- but only if a quality prospect or draft pick is attached. The Cavs aren't interested in cap-clearing deals. They obviously need talent ... as their current 1-15 nosedive would suggest.

we better make good use of that ginormous trade exception

The Cavaliers sent Christian Eyenga to the D-League to work on his defense and Byron Scott has received positive reports.

Cleveland wants to leave Eyenga with the Erie Bayhawks for a few more games before they consider recalling him.

"Every day he looks more like an NBA player," Scott said.

"He's starting to understand what he needs to do on the defensive end every night. We preached every single day defense to him, because we know his athleticism will take over sooner or later. He knows how to shoot it and put the ball in the basket, but at the other end of the floor, he has to be aggressive and has to be a guy that can guard multiple positions. He's heading in that direction."

hopefully we can see some progress against NBA talent whenever he gets recalled

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has promised change will come to his struggling team.

Gilbert posted several messages on his Twitter account before Cleveland played Milwaukee on Friday night. They went on to lose, dropping their 15th straight game.

He thanked the team's most loyal fans for their support and said "NOTHING will deter our mission to deliver to you the goods."

"You don't panic when things get tough," he wrote. "You think. You examine. You calculate. THEN you strike. And we will strike."

we need something, we've been like 1-25 in our last 26 games.
