I won't believe it until the season starts and he isn't on the roster.

Re: Favre done.

very suprising news...the Vikes shouldve drafted a QB either last year or this year. that way, they wouldnt be in this situation [having to rely on TJack].

not saying Chris Cook was a bad choice, but they KNEW Favre was gonna retired eventually, and Jimmy Clausen was taken only about 12 picks or so later =/

Tarvaris Jackson right now is better than Jimmy Claussen.

Really? Jimmy's coming from a Pro Style Offense in college. Jackson is a better athlete than he is a QB.

Good, Favre has done pretty much everything in his career. There is no reason for him not to hang 'em up.

...Then again, it would not surprise me(or probably anyone) if he announces his return AFTER training camp is over. We all know Brett Favre and his mind games.

Re: Favre done.

false alarm

Coach Brad Childress insisted Tuesday afternoon that he was not told Brett Favre is retiring.
Childress has spoken to Favre within the last 24 hours, and he still considers the situation "fluid." Vikings players also told beat writers Tuesday that nothing has changed regarding Favre's status with the team.
