Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic have signed forward Stanley Robinson, President of Basketball Operations Otis Smith announced today.

Robinson was originally selected by Orlando during the second round (59th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.

Robinson played on the Magic’s summer league team in the 2010 AirTran Airways Pro Summer League, where he averaged 5.4 points and 5.2 rebounds and shot 50 percent from the floor.

Hope he can stay on and make the final roster, maybe send him down to the Dleage and give him some burn

Stanley has the tools to make this roster, he is long at 6'9" and has a 7 foot wingspan. I think a spot on the team would help him develop, even if he spends the year on the bench and in the Dleague, he has to work on his jumper, because if he wants a spot on the team he has to be able to shot or van gundy won't play him. and i've seen flashes of what he could do defensivly if he works on his timing and fouling.

He was a solid pick at 59, and picks that late are never really expected to be impact players right away, but if he signs with the team and gets PT in the D, and practices hard with the team he could be a decent player off the bench next year

Robinson's contract is believed to be worth $473,604 for the 2010-11 season, but for him to start earning that salary, he would have to make the regular-season roster. Non-guaranteed contracts will become guaranteed for the remainder of the season on Jan. 10.

found something on his contract
