Jason Kapono impressing Doug Collins in training camp

The Philadelphia Daily News reports:

When asked who has opened eyes the most in training camp, Doug Collins didn't hesitate.

"Jason Kapono has been good, really good," he said. "If you look at the best year he's ever had in the NBA, he played with the Miami Heat in a very structured system, where there was great team defense [which is what Collins wants from this group]. He's been making shots, he's one of our best communicators out on the floor. He knows where to be all the time."

He's only impressing him because Nocioni hasn't been healthy enough to practice and take his minutes yet.

He sure looked hot in the last preseason game. It would just be nice if he could play some defence. I just can't see where much defence is going to come from this year.
