Okur getting healthy, may be back somewhat sooon

Center Mehmet Okur (Achilles) said his rehabilitation is moving forward. Okur has started running and practicing with the team during workouts. Okur’s main focus is improving his conditioning and finding a rhythm. “My calf muscle is still not there for me, so I’m working at it,” Okur said. “Getting better everyday.” Salt Lake Tribune Blog

Should the Jazz trade him for a defensive Center to play with Big Al? If yes, who could be available? :confusedshrug:

Nobody is available, and I doubt anyone is taking Okur coming off of an Achilles injury. Plus he fits well with Utah anyway. He plays good post D and is one of the only guys who can space the floor.

Good luck unloading his contract. More than 20 million for the next two years for a one dimensional player who should be a back-up.

Thank you Mr. GM for the inside report. You really think Elson and Fessenko were the best guys available?

Can't see anyone wanting him anyway. Last year was the year to dump him before they gave him that horrible extension.

He fit better when their 2 guard couldn't shoot. Now not so much.

As long as the other guy isn't mobile.

They have several guys now.

c's aren't available, fact is someone shouldve came and taken fesenko away or atleast forced Utah to make a bigger commitment now. over paying fesenko wouldve been a better gamble than overpaying Mathews. Denver, Detroit or many other teams should have tried.

Dampier would be the best center the Jazz ever had so to say no one is out there is wrong. Matthews has looked to be worth the money so far. Anyone is better than Fessenko. No one wanted Josh Boone who was putting up double doubles nightly as a starter a couple years back.
