Rockets keeping Jermaine Taylor, not signing Erick Dampier
 

The Rockets told second-year guard Jermaine Taylor on Sunday they would not release him because they no longer planned to sign center Erick Dampier, Taylor’s agent Michael Whitaker said before Sunday’s game. “I was actually told that I’m here to stay,” Taylor said. “They told me I was here. Taylor said he regretted sending a tweet last week saying he felt he had been lied to because it was assumed to have been directed at the Rockets. He said it was actually meant for his agent, Michael Whitaker, who had been telling him when he would hear news. Houston Chronicle
