Has anyone given out rep points yet? Cool stuff.

totoro 06-03-2006 11:50 AM

Are you talking about the thread rating or something else?

GOBBinka_Dare'sonegoodeye 06-03-2006 11:51 AM

Where can you see rep points and how do you give them out?

AmazingWade 06-03-2006 11:53 AM

You can see them and you can't even see the comments from other uses so I don't think the rep system is working yet. But to give rep you click the balance icon iin the top right of your messgae window.

Jeff: Reputation. It's stupid

If people are going to give you negative repsonses they should have to say why, and say who its from. It should automatically say who its from.

My top 5 players at each position received a negative review and it was bloody accurate. People give negative reputation points solely on difference in opinion. I give rep on quality of posts.

Timmeh 06-19-2006 07:56 PM

just ignore the rep then...if someone didnt like it then it's their problem, i'm sure enough people on here like you enough that you'll get that one measly little rep point back sooner or later

How do you determine when you are given a negative review and when you are given a positive review?

based on the unsportsman-like attitude prevalent among forum members, negative rep for no reason will be given all the time.

Which is BS. I like the idea of reputation points it gives newbies a good view who to trust, like thorpe etc. Not guys like kobelamar.

It needs to come up with who gave it to you.

I believe those were given before Jeff actually started up the reputation thing, so the grey ones are void.
