2011 Draft
So the Knicks still have their 2011 draft pick at least (even though the Rockets have the right to swap it).
I have read this draft class is not deep at all. How about the position that is the biggest hole for us now? Is there any decent prospect at the C? |

Center, I'm not sure but there is a certain Point Guard that I would LOVE to see the Knicks get in the draft. Jimmer Freddete. I think he would be a very good back-up point guard and with the way he plays, having D'Antoni as a coach can't hurt his developtment. This guy off the bench would provide instant offense and would be a good player. I'm going to take some guys around where were supposed to draft and post some information on them for you guys to see, so we all have a good idea on who the Knicks should take. |
Re: 2011 Draft
Well not really.Guys like JaJuan Johnson or Jordan Williams are decent PF types. Johnson could be a center because of his wingspan. We could trade down and get a guy like Renardo Sydney who is really good but probably won't go in the1st round due to obvious character issues.

JONAS VALANCIUNAS
POSITION:C HEIGHT:6'11 WEIGHT:240 FROM:LITHUANIA NBA Comparrison (according to NBADraft.net)Nenad Kristic/Primoz Brezec Jonas has been over shadowed by fellow Lithuanian big man coming out for the draft this year Donatas Montejunas. Many people actually believe Jonas can turn out better then Donatas becuase he has a much better worth ethic. Jonas is 6'11 now but he was born in 1992 so there is definetly still time to grow, and he might reach 7'0 before he's done growing. There's nothing great about his game, but theres alot of good. Good basketball IQ, Good Athleticism, Good Rebounding, Good in the post and more importantly, Good Defense. He can also shoot the ball pretty well from 15 feet and in. He is still very young and is more then likely going to need time to develop before he can play with the experienced NBA players, but he's a very good player to have because he has good potential. How about Rick Jackson? Just read about him on the web, I have no idea who he is, but he seems to be NBA ready in terms of rebounding and defense. Any insight? |

He's good but not NBA ready + probably will be picked much sooner than our turn. |
Re: 2011 Draft
O yea from Syracuse.I watch alot of Big East basketball so I've seen him play plenty of times. He actually was better last year than this year IMO.He slimmed down alot. He's got some nice low post moves. He's a TERRIBLE free throw shooter and gets into fould trouble alot. He's not a 1st round talent IMO but if we had a 2nd round pick,he'd be worth it.

BRANDON KNIGHT
POSITION:PG/SG HEIGHT:6'3 WEIGHT:185 FROM:Kentucky NBA Comparrison (according to NBADraft.net):Jason Terry Brandon is not the most athletic Point Guard, but he is very very quick. He utilizes his quickness to stay in front of his man and play good defense. He's plays with a lot of energy. He's also a good offensive player. He's effective on isos. He can drive, shoot mid ranged and has 3 point ranged. I think Jason Terry is a good comparrison for him because he sounds like a very good bench player who could come off and provide the offense we need. As far as work ethic is concerned he's one of the hardest working players in the draft. They say he's the kind of player always looking to improve his game and his body. With his ability and work ethic, he's one of the players who has very good potential. HIGHLIGHTS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocL291k5vkk |

Sidney definitely has his troubles, he was never in shape in high school, which might be a concern for NBA teams. If Walsh buys a late first rounder or an early second rounder I'm not against picking this guy tho. He has the talent, there are just some personality issues. But there aren't many Center prospects this year. We should go after a pass-first PG who can shoot the ball and come off the bench the first year. Walsh needs to use the MLE to get a decent Center. I'd like to get Deandre Jordan because he's huge, young, extremely athletic and doesn't demand the ball a lot. |

Please, no tweeners. We already got a chucking SG in a PG's body. We need good shooters who can distribute the ball well and don't look to dominate themselves. We already have Melo and Stat to do that. |

According to NBADraft.net Brandon Knight is a very good passer. |

No offense but that site sucks, I use draftexpress 10 out of 10 times over nbadraft.net. He might be a good passer but he looks to score, a lot. Look at the stats, he averages 4.0 assists and 3.3 turnovers. Quote:

Re: 2011 Draft
Brandon Knight is overrated.Coming into Kentucky,he was supposed to be the guy.He was supposed to be neck and neck with Kyrie Irving. We all know who's team that is now though.Terrance Jones!,who will unfortunately be long gone by the time we pick.
