Blu Ray thread!

Post your BD's here, I'll post reviews, release dates, news, etc.

My collection so far:

the Assassination of Jesse James...
Band of Brothers box-set
the Exorcist [extended + theatrical]
Inception
Leon [directors cut + theatrical]
the Shining
Raging Bull
the Town [extended]
Unforgiven

My next order will be:

Taxi Driver
Black Swan
Godfather collection
and a fourth to be named later, not really sure yet

So what does your collection look like? How often do you buy them?

I really want to get some seasons on BD, but I just see them as a waste of money. Breaking Bad will be what, 4-5 season most likely? I can wait until the show is over and buy the entire package.

However I just looked up the LOST bd collection and It's still $200.

Which A-Now version did you get Jail? There's a lot of them. That's DEFINITELY in my next order, maybe this one.

Two Disc special edition. It has 9 hours of bonus footage plus Apoc Now Redux. I found it on sale for $20.

Holy **** I just noticed it has Orson Welles' recording of Heart of Darkness and an interview of Coppola by Ebert at Cannes. I didn't even know that was on there.

This is something I'm going to get very soon. It's rated one of the best BD's ever-made so far.

I'm always quite apprehensive when buying older films on Blu ray as some have a reputation for not being very good quality, but Blader runner is up there as some of the best visuals in my BD collection.

Casion Royale and transformers are probably the best.

Oh sure, some companies are very lazy when it comes to BD releases. For example the Goodfellas BD is TERRIBLE. I was very disappointed when I started researching it.

I posted this in the Rate the last movie thread, might as well post it in here as well.

Taxi Driver got a full 4k restoration. Scorsese and the original cinematographer were involved in the process as well. Kudos to Sony, they are taking this one very seriously. I'm very exciting!
