Analyze a potential Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat ECF matchup

The AP reports:

On one side is a team led by MVP Derrick Rose that stormed to the league’s best record. On the other is a squad led by a superstar trio that decided to unite in Miami after meeting with Chicago.

“Everyone has the right to make the decision that they want,” Deng said. “They got what they wanted. We’re happy with the team that we have.”

The Heat got James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in perhaps the greatest free agent haul ever, hoping to win a championship—or five... At 62-20, the Bulls matched their best record since the 1997-98 championship season and swept three regular-season games from Miami, albeit by a combined eight points. That was apparently enough to make the Heat break down, with coach Erik Spoelstra acknowledging there were “a couple of guys crying in the locker room” after Chicago’s 87-86 victory on March 26.

The Heat eventually regrouped and won 15 of 18 down the stretch to finish with 58 wins and the second seed. They took out Philadelphia and Boston in five games each, and they come into this series with James and Wade on a roll.

Wade averaged 30.2 points in the Boston series. James scored 35 and 33 in the final two games against the Celtics.

unfortunately the heat, they have two of the top players in the league getting 30 pts a night....their D will make it hard to rose to drive

Boston only had two advantages over the Heat before the playoffs (or really before the trade deadline.)

1. Their inside game, in particular at the Center position and 2. Rondo at the point.

They lost both this series. Miami was supposed to win.

Bulls still have advantages at those positions and they should also perform better as the underdogs. I wouldn't guarantee a Bulls series win but it should be a much tougher series.

Heat in 5... or 6 AT MOST if the bulls get a ridiculous bounce or call in one game. But that's it.

I was right in all the other series'. And I am 100% certain that the Heat will finish the overrated bulls off.

I disagree. I think the Bulls are getting rated fairly. Most experts and people feel the Bulls will not make it to the Finals at all. I hope if the Bulls and Heat meet the Bulls win, but I'd be surprised if it actually happens.

it could be most interesting encounter of the POs. Gonna say bulls in 7. Lj and wade will face toughest competion in the east in the paint as well as their supporting cast will have around 3pt line.

Bulls can shut down Bosh. And they can make Wade and LeBron work for their buckets.

With a healthy Boozer and a with the bench showing up, Chicago can beat them in a 7 game series.

But we gotta win tomorrow night and be on our A game to take out Miami. Having home court is a plus too.

By that logic..

Miami can shut down Boozer. And can make DRose and Deng work for theirs.

Miami's defense is vastly superior to the Pacers and Hawks, and Rose has struggled,
mightily, at times against them so I can see the Heat making the same happen.

If DRose goes in chuck mode, it won't make it to 7 games. But, I will take Miami
in 7 if he doesn't

Miami in 4. (Srs) Miami wins two close games in Chicago, then they own the Bulls twice in Miami.

IF this happens, I would say Bulls play out of their mind at home and steal a win in Miami. Bulls in 6.

There is absolutely NO WAY Atlanta, Chicago, OKC, or Memphis will be able to compete let alone beat the Heat 4x in 7 games.

Only Dallas has a chance because of the shooters and Big Dirk.

Yahp. If Rose is chucking baskets, it will be a 5 game series in a Heat victory.

Fair enough, I wouldn't be surprised if Chicago lost to Miami.

Even as a Chicago fan I didn't expect them to get 62 wins and the 1 overall seed. I still think they are a SG away from being able to be a dominate team year in and year out.

But they've beaten the Heat this year, so it's not like it'd be some OMG WTF moment if they actually won.

Yep, Dallas is the only team I could see the Heat losing to.
