I have confirmed that Rubio is coming over to play for the #Timberwolves next season. Tip of the cap to @DanBarreiroKFAN for being first.

He will be the 3rd Rookie of the Year from the 2009 draft:oldlol:
Re: Ricky Rubio is a Minnesota Timberwolf
Damn that was close. I'm pretty sure they had to reach an agreement 48 hours after May 31. I thought I read that some where. So that means they rly cut it close.
good for Minny, I think Rubio will be legit.
If they could get a good center (maybe drafter Kanter or Biyombo) they'll be a dangerous team.
Re: Ricky Rubio is a Minnesota Timberwolf
Awesome news for us.
I haven't heard of any knowledgable Wolves fans talk him up like he is going to be the next Nash or Kidd but I think he can be a good PG in this league. The Euro game is so different to the NBA so of couse his stats won't look good. He can't shoot for shit but he is a very good passer and can run an offense which is what we need. He will also be deadly on the break with Wes, Beas and Randolph.
Now we just need a good C.
We have #2, #20, Ridnour or Flynn, Darko, Ellington and Pekovic for a C that isn't too old and that can play good defense. Any takers?
Rookie of the Year! :lol
Hey, with this draft class it might not be so far-fetched.
This could actually happen. Espically if Kurt Rambis is either fired or switches up the offensive style(Fu$k Triangle).
Beasley....I mean Rubio:rolleyes: should easily get 8-10 assist a game with this squad.
You got Kevin Love the best offball player in the NBA. He excels in the pick and roll/pop game.
Beasley arubably the best player in the planet when he is healthy and motivated (not even God could stop him).
ThankYouBasedKahn:cheers:

Same here. I thought the deadline was done.
And yes the 5 spot is what Minnesota desperately needs!!
I heard how the Wizards really like Ened and are willing to give up Javlee just to get him!!!!
Get on that Kahn!!!!

Wizards Receive: Darko, Flynn, 2nd pick(draft either Derrick or Enes), 20th pick
Wolves Receive: Javlee, Maurice Evans, 6th pick, Josh Howard
Re: Ricky Rubio is a Minnesota Timberwolf
Bout damn time.
(Let's not act like this changes very much, we still don't know if he is that good and that Wolves team is an absolute joke).
Re: Ricky Rubio is a Minnesota Timberwolf
And now he gets traded.
Seriously though, is his contract the 5th slot from the 09 draft or what? Is that how it works with these guys?

How dare you disrespect Brian Cardinal like that!
You should be a shame of yourself.

I would happily do that but I would rather not throw in pick 20 also.

Yep, exactly. His contract will be
2,724.3 (3,269.16 million)
2,928.6 (3,514.32 million)
3,132.9 (3,759.48 million)
26.7% increase over 3rd year (4,763.26 million)
Qualifying Offer 32.6% increase over 4th year (6,316.08 million)
The numbers to the left are the base salary and the teams can negotiate 80% to 120% of that number. With Rubio, I can only assume it would be 120% which is what the numbers in the parentheses are.

And it'll definitely be 120%, the vast majority of rookie deals are.

We get the Wizards 1st pick too.
That would be highway robbery brah!!!
We than draft either Brooks /Burks or Bismack or even gamble on the guy Minnesota really want Chris Singleton.
Then we can trade Anthony Randolph (I highy doubt he resigns with this ballclub) for some veteran.
PG Ricky Rubio/Luke(we saw how good he was last season as a back up)
SG Wesley Johnson/Alex Burks
SF Michael God/Martell Webster/Evans/Howard
PF Kevin Love/Antony Tolliver
C Jalvee McGee/Pek
