the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
“Following a long series of discussions regarding his future role with the New York Knicks, Donnie Walsh and I have mutually agreed that he will be leaving his position as president, basketball operations of the Knicks at the end of June. Donnie will remain with the team as a consultant for the 2011-12 season. In a relatively short time with the Knicks, Donnie made a tremendous impact, which will be felt for many years to come. We thank Donnie for his leadership, hard work and many contributions to the revitalization of the team.

Re: Donnie Walsh departing Knicks
Uh Oh. If hear the name Thomas even whispered by the front office I'm turning in my Knicks fan club decoder ring

Re: Donnie Walsh departing Knicks
This is sad. Donnie's work will be greatly missed and we appreciate what he did.
It would make me feel a lot better if we get a good replacement soon, so we don't need to worry about Grunwald staying in charge or Isiah coming back. IMO there are some good replacements out there. I'd rank my preferences: 1. Warkentein 2. Pritchard 3. Cho 4. Griffin (from Phoenix) |

Re: the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
Worst franchise.
If I didn't live in NY, I'd hate this team too. Dolan ruins everything. Just sell the team to a freakin fan already, somebody who gives a sh!t |
Re: the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
Pffffft! lol. I think he may be banking on Walsh setting up the Knicks well enough that Isiah couldn't possibly screw it up. Then again screwing up teams may be Isiah's biggest gift other than playing basketball...

Re: the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
Return of the Mack!!
Isiah has a great eye for talent, just don't give him the keys to the car because he will fix it up real nice, then wreck the shit out of it. I thought Donnie got an extension? Does this mean Mullin is not going to NY since Donnie is out? Kevin Pritchard is out there for the taking, he already has experience dealing with over zealous owners.. |
Re: the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
i think this might be a good move because Mike D'Antoni will not stay for much longer
|
Re: the return of Isiah? Donnie Walsh out as the president of the Knicks
If this means an end for D'Antoni as well, then good. The pieces are already in place, and it shouldn't take a genious to put together a few other pieces to make this a championship team.
While I hate Dolan and really wish that he would sell the team to a less idiotic person. Wish Walsh was back, but it's not going to be the end of the world. He got us here, now somebody needs to finish the job. |
