How good can Kyle Korver get?

Will Korver remain a shooter/role player or can he take his game to a higher level?

Talk about what you like and don't like about him

There are things he can get better at to give him a more well-rounded game, but he'll never be much more than he is now because he doesn't have the athleticism. I'd like him to be a more aggressive rebounder and use the ball fake a little more often to make the defender bite, but I don't expect much more from him. He's shown little improvements in his game each season and has come back stronger each season. He'll never be a good man to man defender, but he's a decent team defender is more aware than the majority of the players currently on the Sixers. If the team had a group of guys that had a clue how to play defense it wouldn't be that big of an issue.

can you say Dell Curry.

He wont get better than what he is now but PPierce summed it up best. Korver needs to use the ball fake and to get off his defender and im against trading him too since he's a good team defender. Hustles out on the court, just not starter material.

no simple as that purely because he doesnt have athleticism, defensive ability or rebound ability plus he cant create his own shot 4 ****, he will just be a "spot up find him when hes open and he will score" player

Kinda like Jeff Hornaceck eh...

Korver hustles more than most of our team, but his athletic abilities seem to make him look like he can't do anything besides shoot 3-pointers.. The focus is there, but I believe that if we don't see something improve dramatically this season, he'll just continue to be the player he is for the rest of his career..

Basically, NOW is the time to show he's more than a one trick pony..

Am I the only one who gives some Credit to Korver for Iverson's jump in scoring the last two years. You all are right he isn't althetic, can't create his own shot and his one on one defense isn't very great. Sounds alot like Reggie Miller, oh ya Korver is pretty clutch aswell.

SixerFan03 07-08-2006 07:45 PM

Not Reggie. Probably Dell Curry.

And Korver deserves a lot of credit for Iverson's improved shooting. But he still can't play starters minutes.
