Re: Breaking Bad: Season 4 Discussion Thread.
He won't be able to upgrade his meth. Gus's setup was pretty much ideal conditions.
Once you get to 99%, it takes heroic efforts to get anything more pure. You would have to have the type of air filtration system they use when making silicon wafers into computer chips.

Hmmmmm....or perhaps a new type of drug?
It seems as tho Walt is smart enough and possibly curious enough to make a new type of drug.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot.
Re: Breaking Bad: Season 4 Discussion Thread.
Guess it really did end with a bang :pimp:
Sucks that we have to wait until next summer to see where Jesse and Walt go from here.

why?
he's always aimed for perfection, and he takes great pride in his work. There's been a few scenes where he clearly shows his ego and pride and even takes offense at the thought of somebody else being considered a genius. I think that his time cooking meth 'may' drive his ego to make something superior. Not saying that it will happen, just that there's a chance that it could.

I just finished reading an interview with Hector (Gus) and he hinted at a possible Jesse vs WAlt feud and perhaps Jesse teaming up with Mike.
He also believes that Gus will come back in flashback episodes.

I think Walt is going to become Gus. There will be some plot twist that keeps him in the game and since he is in the game, he'll want to be at the very top of it.
Couple of points of reality.
The show made a big deal out of 95% vs 99% meth, when that never would have made a big deal to anyone.
Also the blue meth they make is just something the producers came up with to distinguish Walt's Product vs other meth makers.
I predict we get a flashback episode with Gus and possibly one with Walt.
Then there was a time I was held up for five days in the desert, living in a trailer and cooking meth. Sack and I were high the entire time; we didn’t wear protective gear, and the drug had seeped into every pore in our bodies. Day by day, we started losing our minds. I became convinced that the feds were watching us. We saw people, cars, and airplanes that didn’t exist. At some point, we became unable to speak to one another—that’s how deep the paranoia ran. Every bush had someone lurking behind it.
I was just reading this on another forum and it kind of blew my mind. Somebody noticed this LAST WEEK.
When Walt thinks that killers are coming for him, he is shown in his backyard sitting at the table with a gun. He spins on the table and the barrel points to him. They show him do this two more times. The second time the barrel points right to him. The third time, the barrel points to a white plant.
And this poster said, that white plant is a poisonous plant, either lily of the valley or something else. You see Walt notice the plant and that's when he realizes it doesn't have to be him.
So somebody had figured out that not only did Walt do the poisoning, but he knew it probably wasn't ricin.

If Im not mistaken, I think they talked about that plant before in a different episode. I think Walt was going on about the plant's properties and rareness. And at the moment I knew I had to pay attention since it seemed as tho it may be significant. But then I thought maybe he was just talking about the plant as a metaphor, so it became an after thought.

Gus ain't dead.
He's gonna be some terminator super gangster.

And like others in those posts indicated "when?" could he have done it?
I do think that the writers will address this, since they posed the question themselves.
And just to go slightly off track here, let me draw a parallel between this show and Lost.
Some people are starting to question some of the show's actions (such as this for example), in the same manner that they questioned everything that happened in Lost. People started to become pessimistic about things that occurred, and how plausible they were. How there things just happend out of convenience and used as a cheap plot ploy.
And the difference between this show and Lost is:
Lost was always centered on 'mystery' and the unknown. It was a sci-fi show not a show based in reality.
This show however, is based in reality. So some of the questions do need to be addressed.... and I'm sure they will.
Re: Breaking Bad: Season 4 Discussion Thread.
I feel most of the things that happened tied up loose ends. I just want to know where Gus went after he didn't get his car. He left, Walt got the bomb back. Did Gus go back inside the hospital? They never did a scene that showed why he didn't get in his car.
