Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Andrew Nicholas and Austin Tillotson from Monmouth are from my hometown and I've played against them on the playground many times in the summer. I know both of them well...good guys.
Nicholas dropped 22 on UNC yesterday even though his team got blown out.
If you ever catch a Vermont game, look out for Four McGlynn...he's another guy I run with a lot in the summer and from my high school - he's already averaging double figures as a freshman. He's a lights out shooter.
is that...legal?
I didn't think so. I thought if you had to shoot the ball over the top of the backboard you were technically out of bounds.

That makes absolutely no sense. If the ball touches the top of the backboard it's out of bounds.

That's actually not true.
The NCAA rule is that the ball must passes OVER the backboard. It can touch the top but must come back in bounds.

Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Going to Duke/Temple tonight and I can't ****ing wait. Without 2 starters I'm expecting us to lose by 10+ but hey, if we can pull it off...it'll be one of those games I'll never forget.
Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
How come Temple couldn't talk Duke into playing them in their actual gym instead of Wells Fargo?
Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Plumlee is getting away with hooking defenders!

It holds more fans. More money.
Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Temple cant get no fouls. Duke getting away with fouling Temple. Unreal.

Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Strange things happen to Duke when they get way from Cameron Indoor and MSG and actually play a respectable opponent at their place or, at the very least, in their backyard.
Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Not even a true road game.
Disgusting. I hope a bomb falls on derm.

Playing at the Wells Fargo Center is probably much louder and more people than at the Liacouras Center.

Exactly, the crowd at the Wells Fargo Center is the same crowd that would be at the Liacorus Center.
Re: 2011/12 Observation Deck
Awesome game. Was a little nervous at the end, last 3 minutes felt like 3 hours. That face-guarding on the press was a little nerve racking. And yeah, Wells Fargo is a lot bigger than Liacouras. Wells Fargo Center was sold out for a basketball game...not often you can say that. :lol
