Carmelo Anthony had knee and elbow surgery in May

NBA teams usually announce to the media that one of their players had surgery, suffered an injury, etc

But for some strange reason, the Knicks didn't do it.

Turns out Melo had knee and elbow surgery this past May.

What's your opinion on Melo as a player, and as a Knick alongside Amar'e Stoudemire? And on this?

I'm not worried, didnt melo do some hardcore workouts this summer?

For all we know, the surgery could have been minor stuff (cleaning out the knee etc)

just cause you have surgery doesnt mean its serious. and it couldnt have been too severe if he's throwing around monster truck tires like they're nothing.

Great news for Knicks fans. Melo had that nagging elbow problem for awhile now. If things are all fixed up wouldn't surprise me to see him score a little more efficiently next year, esp with Amare on the team as well. People forget that at points he was scoring 25+ on 49% . Had that one year before the brawl where he was putting up 30 on 50% before he came back.

Always seemed to me like his elbow was really bugging him. What a perfect time for players to get all fixed up. Probably not a regular season, well on time anyways so great time to get surgeries and have the entire offseason + extra time to heal up. Guess May doesn't really fit into that tho :lol
