Should the Magic chase Kwame Brown?

Weaknesses: Brown is a limited offensive player. He turns the ball over a ton and he’s awful at the free-throw line, making just 57.5 percent of his foul shots over his career.

How he’d help the Magic: Brown would give the Magic a backup center, and the team needs someone who can play minutes as Howard’s primary backup. He’s nowhere near as good as Marcin Gortat was in the backup’s role, but having Brown would put the Magic in a much better position than they were at the end of last season.

Money: Brown shouldn’t command much money on the free-agent market. Could he be had for the minimum? Maybe. Would he accept a situation where he clearly would be a backup? Maybe.

not if there are so many other teams that will overpay him and probably offer much more minutes and in some cases even a starting job
besides....

the beast will soon be unleashed

We have orton, if orton stays healthy he'll be contending with Howard for starters minutes soon!

/sarcasm before someone thinks im serious

i don't think that orton will ever be as good as kwame but i also don't think that backup C is a big concern for the magic, finding a wing to pair with dwight and keeping dwight here are our main concerns
