Well yeah it does... Brook Lopez has been disappointing since winter 2011, averaging 6rpg is seriously a joke. Now hes out with an injury and potentially out for season? This totally blows, I wonder if hes going to ask for more than 6M per year to sign with whatever team is interested in him after his rookie contract expires this season. I dont think the nets should offer him a deal better than 4 yrs 25M myself, but its up for the FO to decide.

We will just have to accept the reality and move on, its not all over yet and perhaps Dwight will join as FA next year. :D

Lopez ihnjured is one thing. Knowing Deron Williams hates losing is another. It will suck watching the Nets lose, then Deron getting angry, and venting his frustration about it. I hope that doesn't happen though. :cry:

This is absoultely devastating. Not only for a potential trade for Dwight Howard. For the season itself. We passed on Nene, Chandler. Dalembert is signed. Brown is signed. Hayes was signed and failed. This team was BAD with Lopez. Without him will be... i don't even know.

seriously. i really enjoyed his recent comments where he admitted slacking off last season. i mean, i enjoyed the fact that he came clean about it.

so that, plus dealing with his calcified elbow, plus the mononucleosis which crippled his 2010 offseason, made me confident that he was going to have a nice rebound season this year.

this thing reminds me a little bit of when curly when down some years back. almost overnight we went from having a 'big four' to having no center, a small forward whose blossoming career got smacked down due to wrist and ankle injuries, to the PG and SG aging too fast to put the team on their shoulders.

fortunately this nets team hasn't peaked like that team did.

i'm not nearly that pessimistic, but from the beginning i've seen a dark side of the d-will trade... a dark side that's only been growing as we approach the moment of final truth.

but... why not just make the best of it? brook will be back under eight weeks (before the amended trade deadline, right?), D12 said he wanted to play here, and d-will says he's 90% on coming back in general. so until something changes, why not stay positive?
