Are the Rockets going to trade Terrence Williams?

Quote:

Not long after he had been pushed out of the rotation Tuesday in Charlotte, Rockets forward Terrence Williams sent a tweet that seemed to point to his frustration with being benched.

He wrote that he needs to consider any misdeeds in his life that might be blamed for bad karma.

Asked about the tweet, Williams said he would concern himself with his performance.

“All you can do is smile,” he said. “You can’t control what others do. You can only control what you do. … Do my job like I’ve been doing. I’ve been great. I don’t know what’s going on."

Hes talented but hes going to end up out of the league at this pace of getting in his coach's doghouse.

Summary:
Kiki Vandeweighe in New Jersey- Kiki played him sparingly until their season was nearly over because Williams & CDR were tweeting their mouths off on the teams struggles and them not being able to play to "win games".

Avery Johnson in New Jersey- Sent down to the D-League for his behavior/lack of effort and bitched about the move. Then New Jersey traded him instead of letting him re-join the team.

Rick Adelman in Houston- Ended up in Adelman's dohouse immediately and he didnt even see the floor outside of mop up duty last season in Houston.

Kevin McHale in Houston- Started the season claiming this was going to be a new leaf for him as a player, and within 10 games hes out of the rotation and whining about not playing over Budinger/Parsons.

Lakers would be a great fit for him.

If coaches can't get through to him then he needs someone who he'll respect like Kobe to take him under his wing and try to help him fix his ego. Try to help him understand he needs to let his ego make him prove everyone wrong with playing well instead of letting his ego get in the way of him focusing on the floor.

Quoted for truth. Lakers are a perfect fit for him. They desperately need someone who can come off the bench and create his own shot. Not to mention he can spell Kobe. I think he'd do well on a vet team like the Lakers

The problem is that he needs the ball in his hands to be effective. I think he needs to play the point, but no one plays him there. He can't catch and shoot and he doesn't move without the ball, so if he's not handling the rock then there's no point in having him on the floor.

To his credit it looks like he spent this offseason improving when playing off the ball, and hes shot well from 3 so far this season. It could be a mirage or it could be an actual improvement to his game than what he looked like coming out of Louisville.

I've always thought he had potential to be a 20 PPG scorer as soon as he worked on his jumper, but something just isn't clicking for him when it comes to embracing what his coach wants for him. Seems like he expected to start from Day 1 and cant handle being a rotation player who has to beat out others for a starting job.

T-Will is more of a SF, and he'd be a definite upgrade at starter over Barnes/MWP.

He could give them everything Ariza did except with more of a scoring mindset.

I love this kid. He's like a poor man's Andre Iguodala which is a homeless person's LeBron.

Minny or LA should try and get him.

T-Will, a taller Rashad Mccants?

Speaking as a Nets fan, I was extremely excited to add Terrence. He had mental issues in college where he was not a leader and got away with his talent. Unfortunately he's not talented at the pro level to do that. He can handle, he can play defense, and he's pretty strong and athletic.

However his problem will always be mental. As you can see there, he thinks he's not doing anything wrong. When guys like Avery, McHale, and Rick Adleman can't get to you, maybe there's something wrong with you. Think what you want about Avery and McHale, but they're solid enough coaches. And Rick is a top 5 coach in the league.

Doesn't matter what team he plays going on forward, if he doesn't change his attitude/twitter habits, he'll always be in someone's doghouse. Same goes for his old buddy CDR.

:( It might end up like that.

All 4 coaches hes gotten in trouble with are some of the most respected people around the NBA. If they cant get through to you, then other GM's/Coaches will think it'll be the same issue with them. Thats how McCants has ended up out of the league when he can clearly give any team 8-10 PPG off the bench alone.

T-Will needs to stop Tweeting. Everytime he gets frustrated about his role he airs it out on Twitter knowing some reporters are going to pick it up and run with it.

^^ But what exactly has he done wrong though?

Must be something of the court or in practice cause he has been pretty good in games.

Can only think that he is being held back cause of a trade or perhaps the rockets are showcasing Parsons for another team in some trade.

Why would the Lakers be perfect for him when he DOESN'T want to come off the bench? If there's an LA team for him, it's the Clippers.

Its definetly off the court.

Im pretty sure hes ending up in the doghouse by not giving good effort or displaying poor body language and maturity when the coaches criticize him. That usually is what will get you listed as a DNP-Inactive like T-Will has been for the last 2 games now after him Tweeting his frustrations.

If you're going to be a "role player" you gotta buy into what the coach wants you to do and cant be pouting when you get 20 minutes one night and the next night get maybe 7 or 8 Minutes.

He really should take lessons from Kyle Lowry. Kyle's a guy that worked his way into an NBA starter. He was a backup for Mike Conley and Aaron Brooks for quite awhile, but he worked hard and now is better than both of them.

He needs a player like Kobe to yoke him up by the neck and tell him his role and what he needs to do to get minutes. T-Will's ego needs to be checked by a teammate with an ego bigger than his. That usually is how a guy learns his role in a locker room by playing with someone like that.

Someone like Kobe, KG, Pierce, etc will school him on getting his attitude together.

If he went to a team like the Clippers with playing time handed to him at SG/SF, it wouldn't fix his issues with authority. He'd play well in some games, but as soon as when Billups or Foye are getting more minutes than him it'd be the same story all over again with him thinking the coaches are not giving him a chance.
