Super Bowl In London?

Apparently, that’s been something the committee has discussed.

“There’s a little bit of change in philosophy,” Irsay said Monday. “We have the 50-year anniversary coming up, which we’re looking at. There are some members of our committee who have been thinking about having an international Super Bowl in London. That obviously has some real pluses and minuses if you weren’t going to have it on America soil. Right now, we’re in a wait-and-see approach.”

GTFO. They had better never do this shit. It will be the worst SB ever.

Yeah, I'd probably skip that one. Where they play that game always matters. Remember that one year when they played it in some place that wasn't like the places they normally play it? That totally sucked.

So it'd start at what, like 3pm London time?

Aren't they 5 hours ahead, so it would start around noonish.

Can the NFL stop the London gimmick? I'm tired of it.

This.

I can't think of ONE NFL fan in America who wants this whole London thing to continue. Sure, maybe a couple of thousand fans in Europe like it....but what's more important, a couple of thousand fans in Europe who just "kinda like it" when compared to soccer, or the billions of die hards in America who LOVE it?

Goodell's a moron.

he is trying to make euros love it like we do...obviously

expand the league to the entire globe...this being an important step in that

I am split on this idea...I understand how it could be great for the league but not having it on US soil seems just WRONG

I love it. The game would start 8:00 PM in London, which is 3:00 Eastern Time. Perfect.

Anything that upsets americans so much is something that should be done. :lol

Yes, because crapping on the people you make money from is a good move.

The NFL should have kept NFL Europe. Although it wasn't making money it was growing and had the potential. That's just the NFL being cheap. Think about the room for expansion..

Between PSLs, home blackouts, increased ticket prices, too many commercials during games, the draft being moved to primetime instead of Saturday morning, exclusive video game rights (Madden sucks) and a lockout mostly caused by owner greed the NFL has done a fantastic job of crapping on the people they make money from lately.

It's not like I can afford to go the game anyways (Super Bowl is mostly attended by corporate types and celebrities) so why not?
