King of Kong has been on all the ESPN networks other than the main one for a week now. It may seem rediculous, but it's insanely entertaining for some reason. Billy Mitchell ranks up there in the pantheon of movie villians, just a notch below the likes of Darth Vader.

chasing ghosts is also good.

it is really weird how interesting those shows are. you would think a documentary about arcade nerds from the 70s and 80s would be really boring. but they are hilarious. i love robert mruczek

Do u prefer documentaries about huge topics or do u enjoy and gravitate towards ones that are human individual related? Both are fascinating but I tend to really like the ones that deal with specific niches or specific people that I would have previously had no idea existed otherwise.

King of Kong is a great one as mentioned. The vintage gaming world is one I had no idea would be so riveting as well as the rivalry that is on some true arrogant superstar vs humble up and comer status

I came here to suggest King of Kong as well. The people on that show are some real characters lol, but if you grew up gaming, you'd appreciate it. Netflix has a ton of good docs, I'm gonna list some of my favorites:

The Nightmare Next Door
The World's Most Dangerous Drug
Swoosh: Inside Nike
Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price
Bruce Lee, The Legend
America: The Story of Us (7 episodes)

Watching "Witness to Jonestown" right now, Jim Jones' story has always fascinated me.

That's a really good watch. Jones has always fascinated me as well. I sort of gravitate toward true crime stuff particularly stuff with a lot of questions and hypothesis.

Check out Touching the Void, which is eerily gorgeous to look at, and Man on a Wire, which is another that is incredibly compelling.

I tend to be more a micro guy when it comes to documentaries, but I'll watch anything good.

Does anyone believe King of Kong hero Steve Wiebe actually cheated on his first record setting performance?

Dear Zachary: A letter to a son about his father. It's pretty emotional and says a lot about the kind of things people can get away with.

Super Size Me. An in depth look at the fast food industry and the affect fast food has on your body

National Geographic Deadly Dozen. Has a lot of pretty cool information about deadly animals on each continent.

Running the Sahara. People test the limits of the human body by trying to cross the Sahara desert on foot.

I have seen all of those and I would recommend them to any audience. Top one was probably the most interesting.

Food, Inc. is another good one.
