Key Arena's minimal renovation from 95
 

I was thinking since the whole Sonics leaving fiasco...

Why was key arena's renovation from 95 so minimal?

David stern spoke so favorably of it on Nov 4, 1995 yet in less than 10 years...Key arena became auickly outmoded as a viable NBA arena.

Also why couldnt the Sonics play in Qwest Field or safeco as a temporary place?
