What would Portland Trade down to get Howard? The truth is Thomas is falling and Foye is rising. The top six picks are:

and S.Williams
and the celtic want a PG
That leaves
Thomas and Gay on the outside looking in.
That is why Thomas had a workout with the Rockets
because his stock has fallen
There is no f..cking deal, dude is just making ish up.

As you can see from the draftexpress link, this is most definitely a real proposal. I guess Portland really wants to move down (and drop Miles) consider this is their second offer. First was Howard/#8 for Miles/#30/#31.

As a Houston fan, I'm torn on this. I have a lot of interest in getting rid of Juwan Howard, but taking on Darius Miles is obviously a risk. However, Juwan is 33 years old, good for about 11/7 at this point in his career, and will only get worse over the life of his contract (3 more years). Darius has a bigger contract (about 2 mil more per year, one extra year) but he is only 25 and has very good potential. IF he pans out for the Rockets, he can be the perfect 3rd weapon for them behind Yao and TMac. It basically just boils down to whether they feel that risk is worth it. Personally, I'm leaning toward "yes".

As far as the #4 pick, I would hope that the Rockets skip Thomas. Obviously I could be wrong, but I see him as Stromile Swift, or at least close enough to not warrant drafting him to a team that already has Stromile Swift. I think there will definitely be a better player at #4 that they would be stupid not to take. Maybe Bargnani will fall and they can use him as bait to move down for a pick and a player or something like that. Just say no to Thomas, though.

miles' knee is shot and he didn't have much of a love for the game to begin with. he's done.

Do you have a link to a source that backs up the claim that his knee is done? I'm not arguing with you, I'm just genuinely curious. He was tearing sh!t up last season before he went down. From what I see on realGM, his production went down toward the end of the season, but that could be a combination of him really not wanting to be in Portland and the team being in such a horrible position when he returned.
