Should Miami be the favourites if they meet the Spurs or Thunder in the finals?
What does everybody think? if Lebron and Wade keep playing at this level and Bosh returns in the conference finals

Stop jinxing the Miami Heat. Miami still needs to beat the Sixers and Celtics in the Conference Finals.

I think the odds would be very close in favor of both SAS and OKC right now.
Regardless of how much better SAS and OKC have looked, when it comes to the Finals, the oddsmakers are still going to look at the fact that Miami has probably the best player and two of the top 3, so I think the vegas odds will be close and the ESPN pundits will be almost evenly split. Unless SA just sweeps OKC and continues to look like a juggernaut that is. |

No, not unless the Spurs really struggle against OKC (in which case they'll probably lose anyway).

All depends on how the conference finals plays out.

Re: Should Miami be the favourites if they meet the Spurs in the finals?
Everyone knows that if the Heat (meaning Lebron, Wade and Bosh) play to their potential, no one can beat them. The big question is - will they (mostly Lebron) do that?
SA already plays to their highest ceiling. The qualities that have them winning - discipline, team ball, high bbiq are already maximized. The talent level on the Spurs is much less than the Heat. So, yes, Miami should be favorites. |

A team with Lebron on it has been "the favorite: for like the last 4 years. so the answer to the question is Yes. Will they win remains to be seen.

Actually, the biggest question is BY FAR the Heat's role players. Game to game, you never know what you are going to get, but when the Heat role players are hitting shots (especially the shooters), the team goes from very good to scary. This was the biggest difference in the team pre and post All-Star break. In regards to talent level, umm are you serious? Spurs talent team-wise is unmatched. |

I think that (traditionally) on the big stage of the Finals that stars must be stars and that role players follow the way the stars lead. SA stars (Duncan and Manu) are old and way past their primes. In addition, only Parker and SJax are Finals tested. Diaw, Bonner (choker) and the rest of the newbies (Leonard, Green, Splitter, Neal) are unknown quantities under pressure of the Finals. When Miami's role players see Lebron and Wade playing out of this world, the pressure on them eases and they just have to contribute their small piece. |

Actually if you listen to the people in the media they'd have no chance against either.

Re: Should Miami be the favourites if they meet the Spurs in the finals?
Miami are always the favorites. If it's Heat/Spurs, no matter who wins, all the attention will be on what the Heat did or didn't do.

Who are the underdogs? The Heat or Spurs?
