Which Bench Scorer Should the Lakers Go After?

As we all know, one of the Lakers biggest weaknesses from last season was their inability to sustain leads once the starters had come out of the game, because of a lack of a legitimate scorer off the bench.

Here are some guys they should look at (feel free to add to this list):

Michael Beasley (has a qualifying offer from Minnesota)
OJ Mayo (has a qualifying offer from Memphis)
Courtney Lee (has a qualifying offer from Houston)
Jamal Crawford (has a player option with Portland)
Marshon Brooks (under contract with New Jersey)
Klay Thompson (under contract with Golden State)
Ersan Ilyasova (under contract with Milwaukee)
Tracy McGrady (free agent)
Grant Hill (free agent)
Shannon Brown (free agent) :lol
Gerald Green (free agent) this one is for DK :oldlol:

The absolute most the Lakers can offer any free agent is 3 million for 2 years this season. It's half the Mid Level, they call it the Mini Mid Level and that's all the Lakers have to use on signing one player. They have league minimum contracts of 1 million or less per season to work with also.

And there are trades...

Let's not forget that Mitch turned Walton and Kapono into Sessions and
turned Fish into Jordan Hill..... We have lots of trading chips....we have
a damn good team!!! (just not great:facepalm )

Lou Williams is my choice

dude is legit instant offense. Can't play a lick of defense so he should fit in with the last 20 years of Lakers pgs

Ben Gordon.

Our bench never played good D anyways. Fight fire with fire. If we're up ten by the time the second unit comes in. He can either keep the score up 10 by his ability to bring easy points, or he can get really hot, and put us up 20.

Ben Gordon, thats it. Thats a decent bench.

Ben Gordon is set to make 25 million dollars over the next 2 years.

I rather have Goudelock be the bench scorer in that case.

Well thank you for pointing that out because I had no idea. 12 million for a role player is too much. Its not like he'd be our 3rd option anyways.

Andrew Goudelock is going to have to work really hard this off-season. His jumper is great. We need more though if he's going to be our bench guy. If im coaching, I'd tell him to review Ray Allen and Reggie Miller videos. Glide through screens like oil, and learn to hit the catch and shoot.
