We Still Need A Third Talented Bigman!!

When Lamar left, I thought we lost the huge advantage we had inside....

Having a talented three-man rotation at the 4 and 5 really gave other teams fits when
playing against us.....

We now have the best backcourt (maybe ever? 2 MVPs???) in the league
so having the best frontcourt SHOULD BE OUR NEXT GOAL!!

I like having MWP and either Barnes or Grant Hill at the 3......

Get another good big and our chances are really good!!!

Stay healthy boys!!

Bynum, Gasol, Jordan Hill (who they still need to sign) and McRoberts is pretty solid already. Wouldn't mind if they added one more big for depth.

Jordan Hill was pretty good the last part of the season, and in the playoffs. We need to sign him again.

We're gonna end up signing Robert Sacre. If we bring Hill back, then those are two pretty good backups for Bynum and Gasol.

depends on how much we have to pay for him...around 3 is ok..same as Mcrib...

lewis/jamison would be nice too...

rotation of bynu, pau, hill, lewis/jamison is good i think

Antawn Jamison? I like it !!! for mini MLE ....

he says he wants a ring!!!

he'd be solid off the bench.

I'll take him.......but I'm thinking Vet minimum. :D

Ray Allen signed for the mini-MLE..........Jamison is NOT Ray Allen.
Too many comparable guys still available to give out the MLE just like that ( T-Mac for one ).

For the Lakers, in my opinion

The mini MLE should only be given to one of these players:
Marcus Camby (backup defensive C)
Kirk Hinrich (backup defensive PG) - and only if they trade Blake
Leandro Barbosa (6th man scorer)
Courtney Lee (6th man scorer/defender)
Carl Landry (backup scorer PF)

The Veteran's minimums should be given to 2-3 of these players:
Grant Hill (backup defensive SF)
Earl Watson (backup defensive PG) - and only if they trade Blake
Gerald Green (6th man scorer)
Shannon Brown (6th man scorer)

The do not bring anywhere near the Lakers roster, or blacklisted, players:
Gilbert Arenas
Rashard Lewis
Antawn Jamison
Allen Iverson
Tracy McGrady

Would love to have campy but I think he is signing with NY.

And what's wrong with Jamieson or Lewis?..

Would also love Grant Hill as well.

Does anyone look this stuff up before giving opinions?

Camby will turn 39 during this season.....an OLD 39....not a Nash.
His numbers are crashing to the ground, he shot 45% from the field.....not good for a center and also 45% from the FT line
He is definitely not going to get any better so why waste time on him.

Nothing wrong with Jamison, his 17.2ppg and 6rpg 40% shooting were solid, the guy can still shoot, off the bench would be an asset.

Lewis I do not want; 7.8ppg 3.9rpg 38% and only 25% from 3pt line...pass!!!!

I like Grant Hill for a vet minimum.....he'll be 40 in Oct but a young 40 because of all the time off for injuries. 10.2ppg 3.5rpg 45% shooting, but he has completely lost his 3pt shot.

The mini mle has to be used on a knock down shooter or a high energy athletic guy at this point barring other trades. We can't keep getting so many old guys.

I would love to have Gerald Green and/or Shannon Brown

Antawn Jamison 40% fg is not good. Plus he can't play a lick of defense. No thanks.

I really think McBobs would really thrived from Nash' court vision and ability to make those accurate passes inside.
I sure hope and pray that they re-sign Jordan Hill and that he can also catch those Nash-ty passes.
