Heat season begins vs Celtics
Associated Press:
Miami's championship defense will begin where it won last season's title, and the first game for the Brooklyn Nets will be at home against their now-crosstown rival. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Heat will raise their title banner at home Oct. 30 against the Boston Celtics as part of an opening-night tripleheader, meaning Ray Allen's first game with Miami will come against his former club and in a rematch of last season's seven-game Eastern Conference finals. |
Re: Heat season begins vs Celtics
Miami Herald:
The NBA schedule released Thursday night has the Heat playing four of its first five, and 14 of its first 22 games, at home, beginning with the Oct. 30 regular-season opener against Boston. The other home opponents during the first nine days of the season are Denver, Phoenix and Brooklyn, with the Heat’s road opener scheduled for Nov. 2 at New York. But Miami has a six-game road trip in November and will play 10 of 12 on the road from Jan. 8 to Feb. 3. |
