Meeting Walt Bellamy in about 12 hours...

any questions any of you would like me to ask him? particularly about his era? i'm looking forward to seeing what he has to say about centers of his era vs. todays era. also, curious who he regards as the best player he ever went up against.

That is sweet. The only question I can think of, ask him what was it like being on the court with pure shooters like Pistol Pete and Sweet Lou Hudson on those early 1970s Atlanta Hawks squads?

Ask him why he thinks there has been a dramatic increase in rebounding since the time period he played in.

The obvious answer is because of the pace of play has slowed down dramatically. But I'm just curious how delusional these old timers are as I will believe he would say the level of physicality has decreased and fundamentals/boxing out is at an all time low.

This being a valid question as Bellamy averaged 19 rpg in his career

Did he enjoy playing against and/or tend to get the better of Bill Russell one on one?

Wilt said this of Russell in his last book
