OT: Bush Is Screwed!

Yahoo.com has breaking news that there are tapes evidencing that Reggie Bush and his family received illegal money and other contributions. How dumb could he be? He knew he was going pro, and if he hadn't been so greedy and showed a little patience he was sure to cash in on that year's draft. Now there are sure to be repercussions for USC and they don't deserve to be punished for an ex-player's actions that they didn't participate in. Bush should be bush-whacked. book it

Wrong Bush. Darn it.

My sentiments exactly.

LOL @ USC

I always knew Pete Carroll was dirty. That guy is a scumbag. I hope this leads to his being fired.

It hasn't been a good week for either of the Bush's. It's not good to be Bush period. It's the end of the month, so it's that time of the month for Bush, President Bush's admin is falling apart, and now Reggie Bush has the feds investigating him. Tough, luck.

Bush is not screwed.. the most he is going to have to pay for this allegation.. and it is still an allegation is probably the lawsuit for 3 million dollars.. which to him is nothing since he's already making tens of millions anyway..

And I understand how USC if involved is screwed, but i seriously have doubts about this whole USC involvment.. i mean this is an deal with bush's parents and new era marketing.. what does that have anything to do with USC? and how is the NCAA going to prove tha?

secondly.. a local radio show said that it's funny how Yahoo.com seems to be the only one that's reporting every single story regarding Bush, USC and this whole allegation.. and it's kinda funny.. ESPN has not report anything, SI has not report anything.. but yahoo.com seems to be coming up with one story after another regarding this.. it just makes it a little bit fishy on what is going on...

If this is true, Reggie will have to give back his Heisman Trophy in all liklihood and USC will probably lose their national championship. All records of the teams that Bush played on will be wiped out.

That is what Michigan had to do over the Fab 5 scandel and that was benign compared to what I've read about what Bush accepted.

Pardon the Interruption, Cold Pizza, Rome Is Burning.........need I go on? are all abuzz with this info. Kinda sucks because I was just starting to warm up to this kid, he was living up some of that ballyhooed hype, and he could do no wrong as New Orlean's annointed savior. Now this will cast a cloud over him for awhile. Bad break

Bush is fine. Somehow I don't think he really cares about his NCAA eligibility at this point.

r32soul 01-25-2007 06:00 PM

well.. heisman trophy is part of the whole heisman committee, which is seperate entity to itself.. and it has nothing to do with NCAA... it's not up to the NCAA to strip the heisman trophy away from bush.. it's up to the heisman committee...

and i'm not too sure they will do that.. imagine all the heisman trophy winners that came before bush.. are you going to tell me that not one of them ever got any incentives from school, agents or what not... it's just too much of a risk for them to take, and the ensuing lawsuits that make take place...

i say let bush keep the trophy.. if the allegation is true, and USC is involved.. take away the wins, the nat'l champ, strip scholarships away.. that's the most you can do.. oh and make bush pay for the $3 million dollar lawsuit

They are all reporting it, just that Yahoo.com had a reporter who secured a good source so they have to give them credit.
Actually, to me it just shows how inept ESPN's "reporters" are. Sure they have some good analysts but as far as actual investigative journalism, etc. all they do is rip off the ap. Its hilarious now that they have to give credit. Look at most good ESPN article online and it will give credit at the bottom to the real reporters (generally AP which means the local newspaper writers etc). ESPN is a talking head with little substance.

All Bush loses is his Heisman. USC loses a whole lot more. Bush didnt lose much here. Unless you are weighing the intangibles.

Didn't this come up a long time ago? Like over the summer or something?
