I've always thought Pau Gasol was one of the most underrated players in the game. I think Gasol definitely has a case for this 34th spot. He was a heck of a player and he was huge in those championship Lakers teams as one could argue that he was actually the best player or the real finals MVP in the 2010 one.

Huh?

Yeah honestly the real Laker fans are cool guys, but the thing is most of them are teenagers that only like the Lakers because of Kobe who underplay every teammate hes ever had whlie overrating his own individual accomplishments.. When he retires they'll most likely become LeBron fans. :oldlol:

Insecure Kobe fan?
Not only was Gasol the best player in the Finals that year, but he was the best throughout the entire playoff run.
Gasol led all NBA players in win shares for the 2010 playoffs with 4.25. He was deemed the most valuable on any team throughout the entire playoffs. Its a pretty incredible accomplishment. During that playoff run LA won the inside battle against all of their opposition because of Gasols ability to generate easy points, protect the rim, and rebound the ball.

this made me laugh. thank you for that.
You can always tell whose a real Laker fan and who is just a Kobe balllicker. The Kobe ball lickers will never give anyone else on the Lakers credit, but will gladly give them all of the blame when the team loses. These are the same guys that live hundreds of miles across the country yet root for the Lakers.
The real Laker fans would appreciate one of this generations best players in Gasol getting praised.

Pau has made 4 All Star Teams and 3 All NBA teams. How does that get him in over people with multiple MVPs, guys who have lead their teams to the finals multiple times, guys who have been 1st team all MVP multiple times, guys who have won Finals MVPs...Im not even mentioning the guys who are simply much better at basketball than him.
This has nothing to do with being a real Laker fan. this has to do with not being a moron.

Who else that is left has led their team to a title like Gasol has? And please none of those 50's players that can't even dribble with their left hand. Leading a team to a title in the NBA is the ultimate accomplishment and for doing this Gasol deserves a place in the top 40 players of all-time for sure.
Bill Walton is actually very similar to Gasol. He has higher rebounding numbers because of his era, but I can't put him over Gasol since he only had two relevant reasons while Gasol has been a staple of consistency for nearly a decade now.

Gasol has never led a team to a playoff series win, let alone a Title.
