I don't see how adding 15lbs is gonna make a difference unless he's gonna change his playing style and become more of a back to the basket player. Because I remember he added weight 2 or 3 seasons ago and his old habits resurfaced once we got into the heart of the season. Mental toughness and aggression isn't always about physical size.

I believe he was just trying to get stronger throughout his rehab, when adding the extra weight. I doubt he changes his style of play now, but remember the 2 or 3 season ago Bargs wasn't the Bargs of today. He was playing second fiddle to Bosh, playing a different position that required him to be stronger (center), and he was a player that needed the ball to make an impact on the game. I do think he's still a player who requires a lot of touches, but he's definitely a more focused defender and he's taking more steps on trying to lead this team. |

Bosh is history. He hasn't been a part of this organization since early in 2010. That shouldn't even be a relevant excuse anymore.

I thought you were talking about 2-3 seasons ago, when Bosh was still on the Raptors. That was the year Bargs added like 20 pounds of muscle. And off course, I'm not trying to make any exucuses, Bargs needs to perform for me to see how much that added gain did for him. |
Re: Andrea Bargnani hopes summer rest pays off; Adds 15 lbs
My point is this "different player" of which you speak has yet to be seen in any level of consistency and he's now 2 seasons without Bosh so Bosh shouldn't be any part of this discussion anymore.

I shouldn't have included the 1 season, your right. I should have discussed more about the season under Dwane Casey, where he was showing some signs of consistency before he got the injury. Now off course, I would like him to have a level of consistency while staying healthy and I do feel with Casey's coaching, he'll get there. |

Good for Andrea.
Now, play like you're 7 feet and 15 pounds heavier. |
