Knicks being careful with Stoudemire in preseason
Knicks coach Mike Woodson said Amar’e Stoudemire will be held out of Saturday’s game in Albany vs. the Celtics as a precaution.
Stoudemire will make his preseason debut Friday night here vs. the Raptors after missing the first two games with a bruised left knee. “We’ll play him tonight, see how he feels, sit him in the back-to-back, then bring him back Monday. ’’ Woodson said The Knicks are playing three games in four nights and don’t want to overextend Stoudemire this early. The Knicks finish their three-game trip Monday in Syracuse vs. the Sixers. -- NY Post Blog |

Out for 3 weeks with a cyst in his knee. Will miss the opener and maybe a week after that.
