Loving his work so far, hasn't missed a beat. Seems to be enjoying being on a team that has the potential to play in the finals.

Which is why I'm starting to get really annoyed by people saying "they just clearly aren't as good or the same without Harden."

yea but question comes do you resign him ? for how much ? my guess he'll get nearly as much as harden.. if so why trade harden for an older, less durable. inferior model ?

The only thing the thunder lost was harden playmaking. Kmart is a great scorer.

you say it like thats not a big deal... this is a team with westbrook at the helm, they NEED other playmakers when hes being an idiot. also, like i said hes injury prone and still not better than a still improving harden so why trade him if youre going to have to pay martin similar money ?

First off, you nor anyone knows this right now. Martin currently makes $12M a year. We have no idea if he will be asking for as much or more money after the season. I kind of doubt he will be, and $12M is already less than we would've had to pay Harden. Martin is already 30 years old and probably knows he's not worth $10-$12M a year anymore. If he doesn't, I'm sure Presti won't try to re-sign him and let him walk in the summer.

Im thinking Jamal Crawford type money, around 5 mil per. But I think only 2-3 years. (Jamal got a 4th year team option)

We don't need his playmaking skills now that Maynor is back and so far Westbrook has been running the team really well while Durant is involving himself in the offensive schemes as well which is why Martin has not missed a beat playing on a different team without any preseason training.

Post his defensive rankings  . Nobody is shocked that Kevin can score and score efficiently. He's been doing it for years. His issues have always been rebounding, passing and defense which still exist. Harden was the more complete player but nobody said he was a significantly better scorer or anything (at least that I saw).

Martin's problem is he may score 25 but give up 25. Harden by no means was a good defender but he was significantly more capable than Kevin.

Harden was not giving us any serious effort on defense, you are full of shit.

Harden's defense is following Amare's career. no joking.

Again... Harden is a poor defender but not as bad as Martin. Two or three years ago Martin was ranked the worst defender in the NBA. Harden has never been that bad, so how am I full of shit?

You act like we are gonna miss Harden's awful defense like it had any level of impact.

Because, so far, his defense hasn't been "worst in the NBA" bad. He seems engaged on defense and is actually putting out a lot of effort. Is he playing great or even good defense? No, but he hasn't been any worse than Harden tended to be a lot of times. The only difference is that Harden, when he actually put forth the effort, could be a pretty good defender; something I'm not sure Martin is capable of.

Look man, just stop talking about the Thunder until the season is at least 20-30 games old and we have a bigger sample size. You go from saying "OKC is clearly not as good at this point in the season as they were last year at the same point in the season" to making baseless claims that Martin is a much worse defender than Harden. For whatever reason you seem to be quick to jump on the "The Harden trade was a bad one for OKC" bandwagon but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about right now. It may prove true down the line, but right now you're just making baseless claims.
