Carmello Anthony = Girl?

I like Melo, he's having a great year, but why is Melo sitting this game out?

They showed him shooting around before the game, i think they mentioned something of a cut on his finger? They showed he finger all wrapped up and padded.. Are you gonna tell me Melo can't play with some stiches on a finger on his non shooting hand?

but i mean c'mon son can't you play through that? it's not even a finger on his shooting hand that is injured..

I remember Kobe playing for like 2 straight years with a broken fuggin finger on his shooting hand, i'm sure others have done the same or close to it but thats the most recent similar injury i can think of.

I hope i'm wrong and mis understood something about the injury..but if i didnt..

MELO MAN UP YOU GIRL

you scared to look bad in a game against Lebron or something?

Didn't read.

But he would be an ugly, chubby, girl if he were one.

It's hard to play with a broken finger, besides you don't even know the condition of his finger so don't judge.

Yes, it's true that Kobe played with 2 broken fingers, but ey, it's kobe.

For some reason, I don't think that's the case...

It's not. I've broken my fingers. It doesn't hurt much and you can definitely play through it easily unless Melo is just a sissy ***.

The problem is that he just injured it recently. Seriously, you can't apply strength on a finger when you just injured it. If you're saying you're so manly, why don't you break your finger now and try to shoot the ball. Video tape it for proof.

Another difference is that you play in the sisy league.

I thought it took stitches? If it's just a break I would think he could play through it, although it would hurt obviously. If it took stitches than it is likely a really good idea not to play the game because you don't want that to re-open, and besides there would likely be some numbness in that finger. For anyone that's had stitches you know what I mean where you can't feel what the hell your finger is doing lol.

That's not manly. That's stupid. Melos just scared.

In other news, some guy last night cut his finger so much that it left a trail of blood between where he cut his finger and his team's locker room. Damn, that's pretty serious. No way he'd be able to play within 24 hours.

INB4 Stern fines the Knicks.

Re: Carmello Anthony = Girl?

With stitches on your shooting hand try to:

Swat
Dunk
Catch a hard pass
Rebound/Box out
Contact/Get hit on the hand

Carmelo would be able to play, but only do one thing... shoot, if open... or do everything... with his left hand only...

Re: Carmello Anthony = Girl?

It's not about playing through a painful injury. All NBA players will do that and all of them take pain killers for this anyway. It's about whether or not there is a risk of further injury. With a broken finger once it's padded and strapped you aren't at a high risk to further injure it. With a freshly stitched cut there's a risk of popping the stitches which can cause infections and cause you to miss even more games with more a serious injury

I don't see why he couldn't play and just focus on guarding LeBron. If Knicks could slow down LeBron, they might have had a chance to win tonight
