Bargnani goes down; Ed Davis Drops 24/12 on 11-13 shooting

Bargnani is garbage. They need to trade him regardless of how Ed Davis plays.

If another GM was brought in, Bargnani would instantly become a candidate to be amnestied and it wouldn't be that outlandish.

Bargnani makes far too much money for the little production he gives you and I don't know how the Raptors could get anything of value back in a trade for him. If it's simply trading Bargnani for another bad contract then what's the point? I sure as hell wouldn't trade him for someone like Jeff Green (random example) and have to take on that contract.

Valanciunas was also 6-6 for 15

Ed Davis has the potential to be a beast in the low block, insane quick jumper sweet skills, they need to play him more and asap.

Ed was killing it out there last night as did Jonas except for his foul trouble. I'm hoping this Bargnani injury doesn't stop him from getting traded because theres no excuse for him to be playing over Davis, and don't give me none of that spacing crap.

Don't be a fool- nobody would amnesty him. Not when you could use him to clear out all other bad contracts or use him for other positive value.

The perfect situation for Bargnani is the Knicks with a power 3 in Carmelo. The Knicks have been hot w Carmelo at the "4", but to play that way and make it last the Knicks need a pf that can trade offensive roles with Carmelo but still allow Carmelo to defend 3's.

I agree with you. Davis is a traditional PF on a team that is trying to "change the culture" to become tougher and more solid in the paint. I'm glad Casey played Bargnani the minutes he did; he proved to BC that this dude is just not a fit for this team. But BC's reaction is "its not a talent problem" aka throwing the coach under the bus.

Bargnani's trade value cannot get lower. If a team wants them right now, it wont matter if he is hurt or not, either way they are taking a huge risk.

exactly this.

it will probably be difficult to trade him anyways, so amnesty is the quickest solution. Another team will try and stick us with a bad contract probably. It would not be worth it tbh.

I believe Ed Davis could be a 14/10 starter on 50%-55% FG with 32-34 minutes. He's developed a nice shot from the elbow and he's lightning quick getting to the basket when he's aggressive. He gets up as quick as any young power forward.

He's also a good passer in the post and gets Val more looks than Bargnani.

He's also a decent defender who works hard. He's a much better help defender than Bargnani for sure. His problem is that even in his 3rd season he still gets out muscled one-on-one against other starters. Overall he's a good defender and could be really good if he added some strength.

They NEED to start this guy. Bargnani isn't even making his threes so he's no stretching the floor as much anymore. He's still got that reputation so people notice him, but as the game goes on the opposing teams stop worrying about him as much outside the three point line. I'd take Ed Davis putting up 11 / 9 (he could easily do so in 32-34 minutes) than Bargnani's 16 / 4.

Pau Gasol for Bargnani and Kyle Lowry

Both teams benefit.

A Melo-Barg combination would be the worst defensive combo in the league

It's time to let Bargs go. I has been for the past 2 years, actually.

Davis has potential. I like him.
