Lawrence Frank loves new Barclays Center

When The Palace opened in 1988, it was lauded as a state-of-the-art facility and regarded as one of the best in the NBA.

Almost 25 years later, time has caught up with The Palace, as have newer arenas, including the new home of the Nets, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

"It's a beautiful building," said Pistons coach Lawrence Frank, who coached the Nets for seven seasons. "This is my second time here I was here for the opening."

Barclays seats about 18,000 and has 101 luxury suites, four bars, three lounges and a restaurant franchise of Nets co-owner and rap mogul Jay-Z.

Well if Lawrence Frank hasnt started that season 0-18, he might as well still be the coach of this team. Dont think he is a much better than Avery Johnson, but perhaps even he fits the team more than that clueless trash.

i'm sure frank could run the flex to try to rediscover d-will's lost ability. but whether JJ and lopez would have the legs to run it, i don't know. hump and evans would be almost completely useless, so a trade would have to be made, also.

whatever coach they hire, they better make sure it's someone who can figure out how to get something from this mismatched collection of parts.
