What exactly is Carmelo doing better than Kobe this season?

Besides 3-point shooting.

Kobe is averaging more points, more assists. Same fg%, better ft%, less 3pt%.

I don't get it.

Kobe is having a great season so far... but as already stated, everything comes down to Wins and Losses.

"hello.... you play, to win, the game"

So far,

after 1st quarter.

Kobe's winning over Melo.
Lakers Lead.
Kobe 13 points on 60%fg
Melo 5 points on 29%fg.

He's winning. He's elevated his game in terms of wanting to win rather than just play for stats. It's a whole new Carmelo. I guess he figured he doesn't want to retire without a ring.

We should base what they've accomplished this season on this one game instead of nearly 30 games of work? Don't get me wrong, Kobe is having an outstanding season, but you're trying to whittle it down to what they've done today, in this one game.

So now winning matters when it fits the Kobe detractors agendas. :oldlol:

Kobe is a better winner than Melo. More Experienced. More Proven. Has beat Carmelo head to head everytime in the Playoffs.

Not Kobe's fault Gasol and Nash got injured. Not Kobe's fault Dwight is playing with a bad back, and shooting career low ft%. Not Kobe's fault the lakers use Metta World Peace as their second option, since Dwight's lacking mobility in his post moves to be used as the main scoring option inside. Not Kobe's fault for Lakers lack of three point shooting.

Stop with your excuse-making. The Knicks are literally the oldest team in NBA history and have been without their second best player and a key bench contributor for the entire season.
