James Harden deserves his MVP talk

leading these young rockets to 21-14 record and could contend for a 4-5 seed if things go right the next few months.

averaging 26/4/5 on a nightly basis.

It will never happen unless the Rockets pull another 22 game winning streak out of their asses again but dat beard deserves his MVP consideration

False.

He should be considered in the same way that I'm considered to be a MVP candidate.

If the Rockets keep on winning, sure he should.

Without a doubt he should. My rankings are as follows

LeBron
Durant
Harden
Melo

Maybe fifth right now behind Lebron, Durant, Paul, and Melo.

Melo's slipping fast as NY's record slips though...so he could get that 4th spot.

The Harden dick riding has gotten a little ridiculous. Yeah, he's really good, but Lebron and Durant have great games almost every time they play and have far more impact.

Harden has like 15 straight games of 25 points. He is not on KingJames or Durant's level yet but he is creeping up. Tier 2 IMO

No he doesn't.

in 2009-2010 Dwyane Wade put up 27\7\5 on 48% shooting and he was a one man team, finished 47-35, and I think was #5-6 in MVP voting.

in 2008-2009 he averaged 30\8\5 on 49% with a bunch of nobodies and finished 43-39 and finished 2nd or 3rd.

Hardens 25\5\5 on 46% shooting isn't special.

Yeah but it's a one man team. He takes like 50% of the team's shots every night.

And Harden is the new D-Whistle. While the league has cracked down all year on the offensive flopping and slam-into-people contact creating, Harden is the one player that the still give every single call to. The guy gets like 18 free throws every night.

Wade at his absolute peak was compared to Lebron those years. However his peak is short lived. No doubt he was better atm than Harden now. But Harden is 23 only.

Wade did it in the weak east and only played good defense in 1 year. He was out worldly playing hard and get stats but cannot get team wins.

Harden is having a better team but he is playing in a much tougher competition with less experienced kids. He is doing a great job and more wins. And don't worry there is no way he can get MVP same as Wade then. you need contending team.

Why do people like this guy talk like they know basketball?. :oldlol: You do realize there are ONLY a handful of players in league history that have averaged 25/5/5 ...
