West and Baylor were both out that game (I think both were due to injuries/illness?), and evidently Wilt put on a show for his future team.

Not a 5x5. A 10x10 game.

Can you imagine that happening today? Kenny Smith would be blowing his jets for a fact. It'd be global news for weeks.

A one column newspaper report for one of the great games ever played!! 53 32 14 13 11

I ALWAYS thought that 68 squad was better than they were in '67.

Wilt averaging 50 points, 25 rebounds, and 48.5 minutes per game in the same season.

And not winning MVP.

Oscar Robinson averaged a triple-double that year. He didn't get MVP either.

The 11 steals I don't buy. Everything else is okay.

Yeah I'd like to see the Philadelphia Daily News (the source Matt cited) for that date. I've checked a lot of other papers and can't find any mention of the steals.
