I agree with their decisions for MVP, subsequently Comeback POY, and ROY.

It's really amazing, just about everyone except for myself had written off Peterson after his injury....then he returns to have arguably the greatest rushing year ever and win MVP.

He is a God

Even I had written him off. I didn't even expect him to play the first couple of games. AD is a beast.

I didn't write him off but I never expected him to be this good this quickly coming off surgery. It is incredible.

JJ Watt doesn't even get a SINGLE vote for MVP? That's how you know a defensive player will NEVER win this award. JJ Watt should of been unanimous for DPOY too....There was absolutely no case for anyone else.

I never wrote Peterson off. He's probably the highest I've ever been on a RB.

Tomlinson rushed for 1815 yards, 5.2 average and 28 touchdowns.

Peterson rushed for 2097 yards, 6.0 average and 12 touchdowns.

In what world does Peterson having a 282 yard and 0.8 yard per carry difference make up for the unbelieveable gap between them in touchdowns?

Tomlinson has 16 more touchdowns. That's almost 2.5 times as many rushing touchdowns.

There is no argument, IMO. Tomlinson clearly had a better rushing season.

Tomlinson was on a MUCH better team, so getting touchdowns was much easier for him than Peterson. AD carried the Vikings on his back and did it in an amazing fashion.

I'm not saying that this season is definitively better than LT's, but it is certainly arguable.

Rushing touchdowns are such a flukey stat. Tomlinson had a supporting cast that basically got them into the redzone every drive. Peterson was how the Vikings moved the ball. Foster led the league in touchdowns and I'd call his season mediocre at best. 0.8 is a HUGE difference.

Re: Awards Thread

Tomlinson's quarterback tossed 3388 yards. Ponder tossed 2935 yards.

So 400 more yards.

Not like Rivers was throwing the ball all around the lot getting in the red zone then handing off to Tomlinson for touchdowns. Tomlinson carried that offense up and down the field while Rivers chipped in here and there.

To have 28 rushing touchdowns and still maintain a 5.2 yards per carry is amazing. Those redzone and 1st and goal runs hurt a runners ypc by quite a bit.

Peterson accounted for 41.5 percent of total yards this year.

Tomlinson accounted for 38.8 percent of total yards.

So when someone says this:

Quote:

Tomlinson had a supporting cast that basically got them into the redzone every drive. Peterson was how the Vikings moved the ball.

That clearly is not the case as evidence by what I just posted.
