Another End Season Win Streak....

Just like I said in other threads, the Pistons are doing it again. We're winning games at the end of the season which makes our chances of landing one of the guys we need that much more difficult. I'm not saying tank games, I'm just saying it's just our luck that the team wins at the end of the season. We've lucked out a few times with people falling to us, but it's going to be much more difficult this year.

The schedule makers do this to the Pistons.

Start off the season on a long west coast road trip.
End the season at home against all the bad teams.

You got guys out there that want playing time. Guys out there playing for contracts. They aren't just going to quit so the organization can get a higher pick.

I agree it sucks however that after such a bad, hopeless season they will go from 5th pick to 8-10th pick because of it.

If we win our finale, we'll have gone from a ~5th to ~10th pick.

Just throwing this idea out there, but would we consider taking a big at that spot? We're losing Maxiell and are going to have minutes available. My thought is mostly about Gorgui Dieng. He could be the perfect backup to both Monroe and Drummond doing a little of what each guy excels at.

Obviously the 4/5 arn't needs, but it could give our team an identity with one of the most dominate big man rotations in the league.

Dieng isn't a lottery pick. I don't see him doing all that well in the NBA. Maybe kind of a defensive specialist. There would be other big men available even at #10.
