Beer bet : Most likely off season scererio

Player / Management / Coaching whatever.

My best guess.

Andreas Bargnani is traded to Milw Bucks. Bucks are loosing Pryz, Dalembert, and Monta E (player option $11M); resigning JJ Redick and Brandon Jennings.
Could be a three way trade where Monta ends up in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans.

Optional guess

Doug Collins former coach of 76ers is added as special offensive consultant to Dwayne Caseys staff.

Landry Fields gets an extension.

Sign Allan Anderson to a 5 year 50 million dollar contract.

:facepalm :facepalm I've lost all hope.

BC's option gets picked up.
Casey is not canned. (not extended either, so lame duck).

BC trades Bargs plus 1st round pick for an above average pf.
Raps finish in 9th place, just a few games below 500.
Management sells the fanbase on our slow, but steady improvement.

No sarcasm, this is actually what I think will happen.

What are you seeing the raptors getting in the trade to Milwaukee? Looks like you're seeing teams with capspace absorbing Monta Ellis

I am trying to be realistic like Blurap above. Not saying anything about quality of move ; just saying my best guess realistic guess.

All I can say "for sure" for the sake of a beer bet is that Bargnani ends up with the Bucks. It is the best fit overall.

___

How it shakes out ?

Bargnani for Monta straight up Bages is something like 11.5 and 12 for next two seasons , Monta is 11 Million next season (player option). Fits cap wise. Bucks could use Barges skill and size on that team. Toronto gets a 1 year rental with very slightly smaller cap hit bringing them closer to being under in the future.

Perhaps Houston would get in the deal to aquire Monta for Lithuanian Montejuinas, JLin , lottery protected draft choice (s) and absorb some cap hit as they have enough room and Toronto would be "under the cap if the deal goes through" ; think it could be worked in a way the new CBA would be allowed. Perhaps disgruntled Royce White is a part of this.

Milw doesnt need a Jlin back (same issue) and doesnt match up well in any deals for Monta..

For Houston - Monta / Hardin / Asik (even as a 5) and cap space has to be a strong core incentive for a FA like Howard or Lbron if he opted out of Miami after winning another ring.

Actually i totaly agree with your first guess and my hiring of Collins as "offensive consultant" sort of pressumes what you said... but I didnt spell it out.

So you think a team with illyasova as then the highest paid player on the team as a stretch 4 would be the team that Bargnani (also a stretch 4) fits best?

I believe that more than a team that already has a high paid stretch 4 it would be a team that needs a stretch 4 that Bargnani would be the best fit for.

Ny with a post playing 3 and floor spacing needs is the best fit for Bargnani.

I dont see this as some sort of move the Bucks are making for the long term. It may not be a good fit or there are likely better fits.

For the Bucks Its "monta money" for 1 more year and another big at the 5 at the 4 who at one time seemed capable of scoring 22 a game. With Monta gone they want some offense back. Low risk and cap flex one year later.

One problem for another.

I mean Bucs are 4 and out. Its a weak draft. No other team is going to load up the Bucks with multiple first rounders for Ellis when there are other FA options. Barges becomes and expriing contract in a year when the draft looks deeper.

Toronto looks like they aquired talent (not where needed) and moves a source of fan discontent out of the arena.

I dont see the Knicks at all. In division and all that bagage. Amare and all that bagage.

I know what you are saying in terms of "success factors and basketball logic" but I am beer bet guessing based on Salary cap and interim needs, long hanging fruit deals that kinda sweep things to the side.

Finally got a trade that doesn't involve amare to the raptors. I know 5 team 20+ player trade isn't going to happen, but help me out- am I wrong that all 5 teams win in this trade?

Raptors trade- derozen, fields, kleiza, Bargnani (32m)
For
K Marshall, j Dudley, d aurthur, okafor, j vesely (27m)

Wizards trade okafor and vesely 17m
For
Amare (20m)

Suns trade gortat, dragic, frye, Dudley, Beasley, s brown, Marshall (38m)
For
Derozen, Felton, Tyson chandler, l fields, q Richardson (36m)

Grizzlies trade aurthur, wroten, a daye (9m)
For
Shumpert and m Beasley (8)

Knicks trade shumpert, Felton, chandler, amare, qrich, James white 43m
For
Dragic, gortat, frye, s brown,Bargnani, kleiza, a daye, wroten (50m)

Ill buy you all a beer when this trade happens.

I feel as Colangelo has seen his last days in Toronto. With Leiweke in, I think he will be the judge on what is best for the Raps.

I also feel that Derozan will stay. But I feel as if Bargnani will be traded alongside JLIII and I think Kleiza will be amnestied.

Maybe hopes moreso than a reality.
