Melo gets one first-place MVP vote. LeBron got the rest
Carmelo Anthony finished third in the MVP vote yesterday but his name created a massive Twitter controversy because his one first-place vote cost LeBron James a chance at history.
One voter had Anthony No. 1 on his ballot as James missed out on becoming the first unanimous selection in NBA history. James said yesterday he believes the dissenting vote came from a New York writer. I know who it is. The lone non-LeBron vote remains a mystery. The Post had an MVP vote and selected James first, Kevin Durant second and Anthony in third place. I will take that [first-place] vote, Anthony said to chuckles from the press corps. -- NY Post |
