Hmmmm

BK Nets had just as high a salary as us, and they went out and made their team better. :confusedshrug: Bout time we stop applauding Grunwald for the lazy job he's been doing. You can get better when you're over the cap. Get your head out of your ass Grunwald. We're sitting around hoping Prigioni comes back. FOH

Re: Hmmmm

In order to do the same thing Brooklyn did, we'd have to trade Chandler and Amare and trading Chandler leaves us disgustingly small and no one will take Amare's contract unless we are taking an even bigger or longer one in return.

Re: Hmmmm

So the Nets now have a starting 5 of:

Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Brook Lopez

Last season was our golden opportunity to get to the ECF. Right now Heat,Pacers,Bulls and the Nets are all better than us and there's a good chance we'll have to face one of them in the 1st round.

Re: Hmmmm

Net's didnt have to trade their whole team and picks to get get under the cap and 1 player. Also they drafted some nice players. Makes it easier to do things. The Knicks cupboard is bare besides the 3 big and Shump.

That made the draft hard to watch. The Knicks have nothing to trade or anything desired.

Re: Hmmmm

The Nets kept assets for a trade like this.

The Knicks have nothing to trade and are too scared to shake up the tree.

Re: Hmmmm

The literally traded absolutely nothing. The Celtics are idiots lol. Even as far as the picks go...how high will they really be when you just assured the team you got them from that they won't be in the lottery lol.

If the Knicks are still speaking the same ole bullshit, Grunwald AND Woodson need to go. If the Finals + last nights moves didn't make you say "damn this roster aint gonna cut it", then you clearly aren't committed to winning.

I totally disagree.... The Nets are taking on MONSTER salary, giving up an expirer I think the other pieces the Nets are signing are probably for 1 year to make it work, plus giving up 3 1st (Atlanta has the right to swap for the next 2 years). Plus 3 unmovable Salary pieces. Now they just have 1 unmovable contract but with so many draft picks anything is possible. The Celtics will have their own tanking picks plus the Nets picks. Thats a lot of ammunition.

The kicker to me is Boston can turn this around after next season its not like they are left with nothing on the court. The best thing they should do is dump Rondo to make the tanking better.

PG

2. Gerald Wallace

The Nets took on a huge contract but KG is most likely going to retire. The also gave away a ridiculous contract in Gerald Wallace. Not to mention, Paul Pierce comes off the books. And how valuable can those picks be when you just assured the Nets that they won't be in the lottery.

BTW, I really like the MoMo Jones pickup

You watched the draft yesterday you see how those picks can be used. 2 Years for KG and PP to win a championship great deal for the Nets. Gerald probably will be moved with those picks from the Nets most likely. Celtics have chips to make moves they in a flexible fluid position.

Dont you think MOMO is a summer league roster fella and not a potential roster player. Kind of small guy.

Depends on if a team will give him a legitimate shot. If they will, it's a good pickup. If not, it's a waste. The talent is there though. He never really got the buzz because he had to transfer. He had some family health issues. He averaged 22 ppg though. :confusedshrug:

As for those draft picks, last night proved that teams at the top really don't value draft picks anymore. If you really want a pick, you can get one. Teams were drafting 1st rounders and trading them for 2nd round players. Teams were trying to trade picks for cash. Indiana didn't even want it's pick. They were trying to trade Gerald Green AND their pick for Jimmer Fredette :oldlol:

Because this was a terrible draft and some teams were trying to get under the cap for Dwight CP3 etc... That you are specifically speaking of.

Its all about 2014 bro. Even with that said they have chips to make things happen for the next few years.

I dont have any qualms about any player the Knicks bring in because the Knicks dont have a roster with no room to add anything of substance.

We can add something of substance. It just won't be a homerun move. We can certainly hit singles though. Time to stop acquiring bums though. We need tp be creative and acquire talented players.
