Movies for specific times:

I don't know if anyone else does this, but do any of you assign specific seasons, weather patterns, emotional/physical stimuli responses to certain movies?

Basically do certain movies or shows exist that you'll watch almost ritualistically every summer, when you're sick, when you've been dumped, etc.?

For some reason, between the 4th of July and the dog days of summer I always have the hankering to watch The Sandlot.

Post them.

Home Alone 1 and 2 every winter, multiple times. My favorite movies ever.

Never heard of that, after reading the synopsis I might check it out... Might have to sit with an ice pack on my balls to pretend it's snowing out though.

Solid choice. VHS, DVD or Blu-ray?

Yeah Ben Foster is a really good actor. I hate 30 Days of Night with a Passion though. I love the premise but it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Dead Man is a good late October movie. Crisp, cold, dead, possible rain at some point during the day.

Way to ruin a great pedophile joke with a cheap gay one. I hope your mother catches lice.

And it's on VHS, the tape is used up during the steamy scenes

A long time ago I would watch Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls when I got home and was still high.

I try to watch horror movies around Halloween. Last time I watched one of the Phantasm movies and don't remember what else.

The first DVD player I got a zillion years ago as a Christmas present, and I my mother gave it to me, along with a new TV, a week or so before Christmas, and the first DVD I got was Fargo, and weather it was because I got it then, or because of the snow, or whatever, but I watch Fargo every December.

Also, every summer, right around now, I get a hankering to watch Jaws. That takes place right during the start of summer, and in that case I don't have to load up the DVD player, because it's always on AMC, or somewhere, this time of year.

Also there's something about lazy Sundays that make me want to see Goodfellas or The Godfather, or some rediculous 80s action movie with Steven Segal, probably just because they're always on during the day on Sundays.

On a dreary cold ass February day I like to watch Blade Runner for some reason.
