Mike Miller returns to Grizzlies
Mike Miller always had Memphis on his mind. Aware that he was an amnesty candidate, and aware of the Grizzlies’ desperate need for a shooter, Miller spoke often about the possibility of returning to a place where he played for six seasons. While Oklahoma City emerged as an unexpected and intriguing option, and Houston and Denver got into the mix, the Grizzlies still made sense for him. The Thunder might be closer to winning a championship, provided that Russell Westbrook returns healthy, but the Grizzlies are a solid playoff squad, and Miller’s strength (long-range shooting) was their glaring weakness last season.

Re: Mike Miller returns to Grizzlies
One of Mike Miller's first calls after the Miami Heat decided to amnesty him was to the Memphis Grizzlies' chief executive officer.
The guard said Tuesday he and Jason Levien had the same idea: "It was a perfect fit and how can we make this work to get back here."
The two got it done. The Grizzlies announced Tuesday morning that they had signed the best 3-point shooter in franchise history as part of their efforts to improve a team coming off its first Western Conference final.
