The demise of the Nets: ABA dominance to NBA mediocrity ... in one miserable summer

this was a short but very interesting history of how everything sort of went sour for the nets and knicks in the mid-70's, and how the philadelphia 76ers directly benefited from our pain with years of NBA dominance... and a trophy.

we're all probably too young to know much of this, but if there is a list of required reading for all nets fans, this would surely belong on such a list: (credit to NI for the find)

maybe so. that, or a few finals appearances would have given the nets a level of prestige that the knicks still benefit from today, even though both teams won their trophies around the same time. but NBA > ABA.

and... location, location, location.
